Nk Football ©: Fifa 06 ™ “gameplay Update”

Many FIFA gamers may or may not be aware of my updates for the FIFA games over the years, most recently my 3rd update, which was released for FIFA 06 ™ on Friday. By receiving your feedback on what YOU want and how you desire the game to play, I have managed to make FIFA play more realistic and more challenging. This couldn't be done without you guys.

My 4th update is going to focus on balancing of human and CPU teams, but in regards to the difficulty level and skill of players'. For example; Both human and CPU goalkeepers will be equal in skill, but the strikers of the CPU and human players' is down to the difficulty mode and how good you are at shooting! This way, the goals depend on your quality of football in terms of attacking and defending and how much passion you put into it. The harder you try, the more they'll come for you. Thanks to an increased skill level of players' you will witness the likes of Ronaldo take on your defenders with great skill and balance. Now, as a new approach to the 'passing game' I have made the players' less 'open' to the ball, making the game a tighter match and meaning that if you allow the CPU to break you, they will be able to make some amazing runs at goal, as so will you. By no means is my update getting easier guys

I have been testing and tuning each difficulty mode, but I have been playing on Legendary difficulty. Here are my results from that match played just now.

Oh it's a bit tight!



Want to know what I mean by tighter games? These are the results of my match as England in a 12 minute battle, legendary difficulty, every breakway was exciting, but I couldn't make anything of it. Very, very fun game because the thrill of trying to break free made it so exciting! If only I had scored in the last minute, I would have gone crazy!!! My only shot on goal (which yes was on target thank god) was a freekick! If I had scored with Beckhams freekick I think I'd have died of cheering

You're relatively new here, bearing in mind the number of your posts so far.... so i think you should take it easy...

NK is doing a great job for all Fifa gamers...

You should show some respect towards him when you want to express your opinions...

As you wish, NK Threads will be posted into one thread. Oh and I have been on here for a very long time, these guys know me...so I think it's only you who seems upset by my new thread, which I think is kind of pathetic of you to say so. Obviously you don't download my update.

You are right there. I dont download your update. Even if I did, how do you expect me to implement it into my Xbox version wise one?

1) You didn't make a suggestion, you just moaned. OckHAM, my friend made a suggestion for a thread.
2) Luis Ah-Hoy backed me up because he believes in my work and you had a go at him too claiming how you don't need a certain amount of posts to be a god or whatever. The truth is, you just don't talk to people like a complete w*nker like you do.

John NK is doing great work for the entire Fifa community. His patches are unrivaled, and personally I think it's better that he makes a new one for each patch.

Nick have you got the goalies good yet? I know theres only so much you can do (EA really screwed up with them this time around).

Alright...I finally took the plunge

yes...I've been lurking about...waiting for you to "get the bugs out"...and I have now tried your third edition. And now of course...I hate you because I can not stop playing again. 2:30 this morning I finally called a "night"...and I've been thinking about playing again all day at work.

For those of you who don't know...I play with a keyboard...and I play about two hours a week...so therefore, I am limited to lower difficulty levels. You can consider me probably a "normal" player of the game...definitly not with the ability to play in "legendary" or even "world class" modes. Semi-pro had been getting pretty easy for me. I generally finish with 17-20 shots at goal with 8 - 14 on goal in a 12 minute game. My opponents...even the five-star teams...never manage more than 5 shots...so to get bombed 3-nil by Manchester City while playing as 'Spurs (In Whitehurst Lane...thanks Schwenker) was a sobering experience. I toughened up defensively against Blackburn...doing more dumping and running than actual working up...gave up possession 62-38 percent...but was ahead 2-1 in the 85th minute. But Blackburn was laying seige to my area...had me backpedaling and lunging everywhere. Kuqi got a ball at the right angle...Naybet blocked by turning his body...but the ball came right back to Kuqi. With Naybet now off balance...Kuqi took one touch past him and fired a bullet into the far upper corner of the net. I almost applauded out loud...it was a great goal..well deserved...and completely accomplished by the CPU. The shots in both games were well-balanced...about 10 apiece with 4-6 on...

The CPU attacking is great...the offensive players use great skills and in the open field are generally tough to dispossess. The shots come in from everywhere...and I especially like how they establish the offense and keep on coming. It was not unusual for me to be defending for at least four to five minutes (game time) at a time as they repeatedly made runs at me and I desperately cleared.

When I had the ball...I had a terrible time breaching the back line...but once I did, I scored very realistically with a low shot that is usually saved in other game plays including the original. Also...the long(er) shot is back in the game. I had Davids rattle the post from 30 yards...and when Blackburn gave Reid too much room...I cut him inside and he rifled in a marker off the inside of the post from just to the left of the "D". Headers are there...and it seems easier to head them down than with other game plays.

Bottom line...I have played with Ocks' and Billy's gameplays...this is by far the stunner of the bunch. I look forward to your next efforts...but for now...this is the gamplay I endorse...and I play them all even though I'm pretty much a low-skill type player.

One problem...and it's probably down to me, Nick. The game crashes at the end...just after I "Return to main screen". I notice there is a configuration setting in your gameplay...but it's not specific like the others in the cmn file. Do I have to rename that...and is that possibly my problem for the CTD?

Nick...great to have you back among us. I am having a great time playing career mode with two different careers...and I am having a blast playing your gameplays. Keep up the good work as always my good friend. Let me know about the next...

Terrific feedback! Loved it Mutiger, thank you very much As always I strive to make the game better and better! It's not easy making it playable for everyone, but the 3rd update is proving to be a winner so far. Hopefully my 4th will hit the mark with everyone and perfect those who are already impressed with my passed efforts! As you know, FIFA 2002 was my starter GAMEPLAY update phase, with a good 5-6 updates released, probably more. FIFA 2001 did see a few updates from me, but not many. It's fun doing it, and I love reactions like these! Thanks Mutiger, great to hear from you.
