I played as a super chelsea team vs a super barcelona team away on 20 minute match. But I just had another game just then, changed my formation to 4-4-2 and used man marking, played the same team again at home and won 2-0.
I had 28 shots for a 30% accuracy rating. They had 6 shots for a 50% accuracy rating. My 2 goals came from deflections from the keeper. The formation I was using before when I got whooped was a 5-3-2 formation.
Edit: I play on normal speed. And I didn't use man marking when I got owned.
SSJ do you use any of the available tactics? CA, FB, OT? Man Marking even?
Also I need some advice people, I have a mate who always scores his goals on me online from booting it down the field from defence onto the chest of his forwards and then 1 on 1 with the keeper. This ****s me to tears cause I can't find a counter for it. I used to beat him 10-0 now I'm losing the games as much as 2-0. Hehe these patches seem to have crippled me, and helped him.

just remember 6.6 is STILL a beta. It's not even close to what I am playing right now! 
The shot mechanic is way better and the defending is very tight for both sides.

Just played with Chelsea vs Tottenham at home 20 minute match on legendary using 6.6. (normal speed)
Won 5-4 in stoppage time
The whole match was goal for goal. The CPU kicked the first one in the first minute lol.
Cpu goals: Outside Box over keeper (awesome) , header, one on one vs keeper, header.
My goals: One touch outside box over keeper to top corner (awesome) , low cross goal, low cross goal, high cross volley, one on one vs keeper.
And if its only getting better I cannot wait. You realise your patches will prob have better gameplay than 08. Just a thought.

Well i believe you will be very happy with the changes made so far.
Defenders actually stay back instead of running out of place and giving you an easy pass to your open player. You now have to win the space and beat your marker more often (unless of course you catch them). Passing isn't "who can pass faster", but rather who has more skill and timing. you can slow your game down using pace-control to really give yourself the time you need, or you can pass quickly and risk rushing and losing possession or create a brilliant, quick attack for a fast goal. Remember, the more composed you are, the better the finish and attack. But nothing is impossible.
Goalkeepers will be better tuned.
Shooting is a bit harder when sprinting and trying slide and stretch shots, composed dribbling shots are a bit easier to control, depending on the sitation and player and speed of the attack.
Ball physics are more natural.

you won't be scoring 10 anymore, unless you find a glitch somewhere! FIFA 07 is full of them.

Why does the cpu always making long passes from 1 end to another. Their long passes are not accurate at all or the ball goes too far out which result in throw-in. Many times when the cpu makes long passes, the ball always headed by me so is like "Thanks cpu for passing the ball to me". Cpu attack has no idea at all and just anyhow making unecessary long passes><
