That's a crazy score!
But I did recently go back to the 6.6 beta and would have to agree it's very possible to do this. Too many defensive problems, let me list a few;
-cpu players' run out of position for the ball much too quickly
-groups of defenders will transition into space, usually too late and you already know where you need to be and what to do to convert a chance
-goalkeepers have no anticipation of shots letting in chances they could save and at times questionnable movement
-cpu comes too far off the line when you are far out or taking a freekick, it's possible to lob the keeper easily
-cpu attack isn't completed with too long long balls going out
-And quite a few other problems!
This is the reason 6.6 is a BETA. And also the good news is that these problems are no longer in World Evolution 5
Creating a chance is much harder because the defenders actually stay on your player and mark you. Sometimes they will give you space to use pace-control and sometimes they will pressure and get the ball to counter attack you. So knowing how to pass and when to, is more important. Rather than just having the user and cpu run up and down the field like pin-ball.
The gameplay is also much slower now and more simulation.
