I never thought I would be so pumped up after a 2-2 home draw with Costa Rica. So many factors converged to make that game as sweet as any victory:

1. I wanted Honduras to go to the World Cup badly because they have a classy group of players and fans, and most importantly, because they deserved to.

2. I wanted the US to win the group so the Mexican'ts wouldn't get any crazy ideas about who the boss is in CONCACAF.

3. I wanted the US to have a good showing for Charlie Davies.

4. I wanted revenge for the Saprissa massacre earlier in the Hex, and what better revenge then denying a side an automatic spot in the World Cup?

I went nuts when Bornstein's header went in in the last minute of stoppage time. Moment of the Hex for me. That was totally insane in the membrane.

The Honduran crowd was extremely hurt after the defeat against the USA in San Pedro Sula but the fact that they cheered the USA team after the loss was a classy act.

good for you, Mexico has won there many times before. but has the usa ever won in Mexico. enough said

plus Mexico lost in salvador because of the ref who called a bad penalty and then disallowed a goal from Temo to tie the game 2 - 2. and vs honduras well costly cheated in the 1st goal by taking the ball with his hand away from Jonny Magallon.

they are not excuses just the circumstances and reality of each match....
