looks like ICC are planning to ban nagpur , jamshedpur and he 3rd venue (forgot name) from hosting any more one-days..
bad for indian cricket
It still doesn't make bottle-throwing any better if everyone else does it. I agree, the crowd provides a fantastic atmosphere, but recently it has crossed the line. It is dangerous for players in the outfield to have missiles chucked at them when they are not looking.Originally posted by zul-aid
well all I can say is from what I saw and when Australian TV showd the crowd it didnt seem as bad - I havent seen the highlight of the other games but I have seen worse violence in India games were never stoped
South Africa have issues with crowd violence (ask Merv Hughes) and not just in Cricket with crowd invasions.
Many supporters say there is nothing like going to India to see the crowd its so intimmidating - and excellent for cricket and yet ICC wanna censor it THIS IS CRAP
If India get coverage of the one-dayers here in Australia watch what people do at the Gabba if the game is close bottles every where not just one empty one but these bottles are full.

technically Pakistan were the hosts as before the 1999 WC the holders got to host the next one, just that India and Sri Lanka got to host some of the matches as Pakistan didn't have enough stadia to go it alone, but the final was in Lahore.

Yes, that's true. Perhaps the ICC should be more alert to such incidents in other countries to keep everything on a level playing field. But anyway, WHAT A VICTORY FOR INDIA!!!!!! Is there anything this batting lineup cannot achieve? They successfully chased 326 against England earlier this year, and now they eased past the Windies with 2.2 overs to spare! Fantastic stuff. Full credit to the West Indians' batting, though. Chris Gayle was magnificent, and Ramnaresh Sarwan is desperately unlucky to be stranded not out on 99. But today was India's day, and it looks like the team is heading down the right track for the World Cup, as long as they get the bowling sorted. We are conceding far too many runs and putting too much pressure on the batsmen, and eventually they will crack, and one lapse in the World Cup could spell the end of any promising campaign. Once the bowling gets sorted, anything can happen.Originally posted by zul-aid
Yeah I know what you are saying but it happens everywhere it would seem ICC are trying to crack down on any Indian advantage ie Crowd support which I think is just not Cricket

West Indies didn't have the ability to host a WC, and it doesn't have any neighbouring countries that had any cricket facilities, so the WC reverted to England instead.

sri lankans might be able to draw atleast a test against SA but england i am sad to say can only dream about it...
i mean if they score 325 in 1st innings and still lose the match , thats pretty pathetic

Yeah and not just lose, but lose by ~390 runs...
I like the way the English guys talking up englands chances have jsut quietened down suddenly.
Our A team would have beaten England as well. We enforced the follow on, after we earlier declared at only 3 wickets down, and England had caught our total and were setting a reasonable chase, but it was still was fairly low, before a draw was declared (3 days is a silly period of time for a game of cricket!)
Cheers

don't know how much a difference flintoff and silverwood make but england are having serious problems and that too before the world cup...
west indies won 5th ODI chasing 290...
Gayle scored yet another century (3rd in the series) : this man s in the form of his life...

South Africa are the best for allrounders, India is better than Australia for spinners (but u do have the best spinner in the world though, just that he ur only class spinner). But Australia are miles ahead of everyone else in all other departments, while England seriuosly lag behind just about everyone except Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in bowling, but we are one of the better batting sides, but still Australia, India, South Africa definetely ahead of us.
