Bought a black 4 GB iPod nano yesterday, it's sweet as hell but I'm scared to touch the damn thing before I get a cover on it, I don't want to scratch it. I saved some money since I used my employee discount (was $262 with taxes, went down to $242 after using my card), I had to use it before I quit in a couple of weeks.

3 weeks to get my ipod im only getting the 30 gig ipod video now, the video playback drains the battery too much for me to invest in the 60gig version. 30 gig will be fine anyway i barely have 8 gig of music although ill go round getting mp3s from all my mates now to try and fill it up i think :P

does the price of iPods go down on Boxing Day like most other stuff or do they not? I heard people say that iPods' prices rarely drop no matter what.

Apple products rarely drop in price, period. The only time resellers bring prices down is if they're lowered at the Apple store. If you look around you'll notice that there's little to no variation the price of iPods and other Macs between stores.

So my phone is ****ed up and I need a new one. I don't know too much about cellphones (except that Razrs are cool ) so I hope you guys can help me out here... Requirements:

-- needs to be relatively cheap
-- must be unlocked/T-Mobile compatible
-- come without a plan because I already have T-Mobile

Networks tend to lock phones so that you can only use it on their network e.g. if your phone is locked to T-mobile and you put in a O2 sim card, it won't recognise it..unlocking it, allows you to use the phone on any network.

www.easycell.ca has amazing unlocked phones, they're not cheap though Although they are in Canadian prices, so with the exchange you'll manage to save a little cash.

Man, that IS expensive. The only one within my price range would be the Panasonic X300 for example... and I bet I could find that same model for a cheaper price somewhere else.

yeah, they're all really high-end phones. Pretty cool site though, they have a lot of phones there that aren't even normally available in North America. Probably one of the reasons why the prices are as high as they are..

Oh man, My iPod is totally screwed. I try and use it and it doesn't even start up. My PC doesn't recognise it either. Its barely 6 months old, I'm going to ring up Apple tomorrow.

Try re-setting it. Hold the menu and play buttons for about 10 secs. Alternatively (and this method did work for me unlike the first), hold the select button (the round middle one) and menu (or play, can't remember) at the same time.

It froze up on me last friday while listening to Stan Getz. I reset it after that and I've had too reset it a few times since because it freezing, untill it completly formatted the device. Since then it won't work. I've no idea what to do

hey everyone, i had another question about mp3 players. i decided to get a iriver for the total price of 140 american dollars... my recent concern is will i be able to play files i download from a p2p program like Ares or Edonkey? my friend just brought up this issue when he read something about protected content on the product description.

there shouldn't be a problem. I've never had any trouble with any MP3 players playing songs no matter where they're from.

ok i hope not. because i'm paying 140 for it and i have a bunch of downloaded songs in my playlist. i just dont have the money to go buy a subscription. that would really suck.

does anyone else know anything about the subject?
