Those are the jerseys the old Earthquakes (of the NASL) wore. Several San Jose players also grew mustaches like the ones most Earthquakes players had back then. Except Donovan couldn't grow a mustache. :rofl:

Yeah but there's more Mexicans living in the US than there are Australians living in Australia. I think the last thing Chivas need to worry about is their fanbase.

Mexico is our second largest trade partner and the US is (by far) Mexico's largest trade partner. The two countries depend on eachother. There's no hatred between Americans and Mexicans based on nationality. This isn't the Balkans.

No but seriously, soccer riots in the USA? Somehow I don't see that. There's going to be a heated rivalry between the Galaxy and Chivas but I doubt it's going to turn nasty. Anyway I really look forward to chants of "USA! USA! USA!" and "Two - nil! Two - nil! Two - nil!" at every away game for Chivas. It's definitely going to spice things up a bit in MLS.

i am just concerned that it could become a negative thing for the mls. It ruined the nsl. i am hoping it won't ruin the mls.

my census info may be slightly innacurate but it is on the right track. :p


i do agree with you in the fact that it is hard to define what is australian anymore with a massive influx of immigrants from other areas

is Sanneh officially joining the Crew? I hope so. I hope his back is fully healed as well. He played like a world class defender in WC 02. Those bastids at Nurnberg nearly ruined his career.

Sanneh to the Crew? Crap, I was hoping he'd join the Revs. The team could definatley use a new player whose good in both defense and attack all in one.

How the hell is Tony Sanneh gonna help Columbus? They already have the best defense in the league and Tony Sanneh wont be playing striker. So Columbus decides, instead of waiting to scout a potentially great young offensive minded player from C. America or somewhere(who would definately be cheaper than Sanneh), they should sign an old injury prone defender. Columbus management baffles me.

And Im well aware that Sanneh stared in WC2002, but that was 2 years ago, and he hasnt played that many games total since then, let alone excelled in them.

Not that I think any team should be in a rush to sign a 33yr old player with back trouble, NE REvs would definately get more use out of signing Sanneh. What with them having NO defense and all.

one of the following three coaches will coach Chivas USA:

"Zully" Ledesma: I dont know anything about him as a coach, or if hes even coached at all. For the last few years hes been doing a local sports show in Guadalajara. I also heard he was the uncle of Nomar... dont know if thats true.

"Chepo" de la Torre: I also dont know if hes ever coached before... but hes the father of those de la Torres playing in the MLS.

Fernando Quirarte: Really really good coach, I hope Chivas USA appoints him because hes one of the best Mexican coaches around. (Y)
