It's crazy to me that he's not coaching in Portugal or Spain. Some Mexican teams pay really well, I know, but they don't have Champions League money. The guy is damn good.

more seriously: that's down the road from I used to live, but luckily also downhill from my old place too (where my car and most of my sh!t still is) ... thankfully haven't heard any major concerns from friends/family in the area ...

Annual Mexican soccer merry-go-round:

Two Ascenso have been relocated and renamed: Altamira moved to Tapachula in Chiapas and becomes Cafetaleros de Tapachula, and Irapuato moved (again!) to Los Mochis in Sinaloa and becomes Murciélagos.

Also, two "expansion" teams were added to Ascenso MX: FC Juárez (working name, I believe), and Cimarrones de Sonora from Hermosillo.

I bet if America or Chivas were ever relegated they'd just buy Queretaro or Jaguares and rebrand to stay up.

I watched it earlier, Chile looked really dangerous going forward but gave Ecuador some chances.

Also Obafemi Martins is another name who is pretty much setting the world alight at MLS.

He'll make the squad, using a USWNT player would have looked a lot better in comparison than two guys who haven't played a minute of an MLS game.
