Argentina didn't do a lot in the recent past, did they?

Nope, they suck now too. There's only two things that are constant in soccer. The game is 90 minutes, and the Germans always win.

Unless you've been cyrogenically frozen for the last 20 years and you just woke up yesterday, you're an idiot.

Euro 1996

(H)!!!!!!!!!!!! OWNED!!!

I also seem to remember they were runners up to Brazil in the latest World Cup, and if Ballack wasn't suspended and Kahn didn't break his finger on a fluke play, they are the reigning World Cup Champions.

no, they wouldn't... :)

they would only put some more fight to the result, but that's that... Brazil owned Germany in that game; they were arguably the better team and i really don't think that Ballack would have much influence in that particular game... no bias here, i am not exactly a Brazil NT fan... actually, i don't like them very much... but i must admit that they have the most talented team of them all... :jap:

With Portugal coming in second place, juss few inches below... :) :rockman:

We only need some quality strikers... and a better GK :nape:

They are and I hope they never make it to another world cup, and never have another crack smoking hand baller. With that said, I would support a south american side over the likes of germany, france and spain anytime. Go Uruguay for all I care!

!!!!!!!!!!!! OWNED!!!
Actually argentina has won some copa americas in the last 10 years as well. Im not sure I dont keep track of them. Euro 96 was nice, but in 10 years? I think Germany is a good side and all, I just see argentina as being better.

I'll call them "hermanos" (as much as my dad hates it when Brazilians call them that)

That's fine! But tell me Brazil wins in 1994 without Romario, or in 2002 without Ronaldo! And Ballack wouldn't have that much of an influence!?! Oh come on, it's not like he led his club to the Champions League Final that same year.

the USA has been a decent soccer team for over a decade now IMO. And it's true, football is definatly more competetive than it used to be, the sport has evolved big time and it's probably gonna be the norm now to see countries like the USA, Korea, various African nations, etc progress far into tournaments.

YES! We get the chokers! Our boys should get mad respect after Italy predictably chokes the game away (while crying about the refs the whole time) and we advance to the next round. If there's one major U-20 team I'm not scared of at all, it's the Italians. Although the Spanish seem to be just as good at exiting tournaments way too early.

VAFFANCULO!

3-1 Italy in the 80th min, now f*** off
