The 500mb is not a patch, EA only post the whole FIFA2002 to it's server, by changing the download target we can download a full version of FIFA2002( but the bugs still there!)
In the forum someone is trying to use this EA's stupid error to download other EA sports' game........

When there is a reference to Taiwan being removed...

Is it now possible to make players with a Nationality of 'Australian'... i found this odd when i was playing it, considering i could make an American Samoan and a Nepalese player... but NO AUSSIES... Please Explain EA!!!

I once again had a go at this joke of a game.
The CPU still does what the hell it likes regardless of what I set in the options.
The ridiculous long passes it pulls off effortlessly I still can't get.
It's a bug filled joke, and the fact it's the best there is shows what a mess the PC football game scene is. All we need is for a pure class title to appear.
Zidane Soccer is on its way, but we really need Konami just to be nice and give us an ISS.
FIFA 2001, for all its faults, and there were a few, was an enjoyable game, which was actually quite addictive. 2002 is just unfair and unenjoyable. EA have truly produced a monstrosity.

It might be a joke of game, but think of it from EA's point of veiw as well. The bastards are and think alot like bill gates, produce something only a LITTLE bit better each year, they know what they are doin but they are never gonna change, because if they did they'd have nothing to improve on, and therefor why would we need another new game?

I agree. I have gone back to playing Fifa 2001 because it is more fun to play than 2002.

Hi, i agree with both of you. I was lucky to get the pirate version of F2002 and not waste my money in an original ****ed game like that!

About The patch, i couldn't even try to get it.

EA guys didn`t think about people who hasn't an internet connection at home and so we can't get those "fantastic updates" by EAcomUpdate.

If you know some other way to get the patch without sofisticated tactics in MS-DOS, or if you can mailme it (and tell how to install it) i'll forever thank you.

Well, i've been playing EA's Fifa since many years ago. Certainly i've had a lot of of fun, but in the 2002 version all the fun that the game may have is sended to hell by the huge bugs. You cannot even change the starting lineups, ¡cos the game shuts down!.

I give EA a point cos of the graphics, music, and the new pass characteristics, but all the bugs on the game only meakes me angry with the game and clouds all fun that you can enjoy with the new features.


All right, "Sucks" is maybe a little strong word, but let me throw a little of my dissapointed out.


About the patches that could repair those bugs, as i wrote earlier, i can't get them cos the the "internet connection required". It's simple: i don't have that intrenet connection at home, so i'n *****d.

Now, if you know a way to get the patch and aply it without liveupdate, tell me and i'll step my words back.

Ok, bye fellows.

Can anybody send me the patch?

I have no telephone where I currently live, so I can't connect to the
Internet from home. My repeated questions to the EA support on how
to get the patch without using Fifa2002 have been (of course) ignored.

Can anybody provide me a URL to download or send me the files?

It olnly corrects the initial formattion bug, that is if you have players in as forwards, they will appear in the game as forward, same with wingers, say you have Beckham and Giggs, well before this patch, you would have them switched with Solskjaer and Van Nilsterooy, but this patch corrects it, so all the players end up playing in their right position.

But, there´s always a but, you can´t change the formation once you are playing a friendly, only in season or tournament mode, and you can only edit 20 teams in team managament, after a while you can´t create any more players, it sucks, if you want to know.

But i have the udate in a Zip file, if anyone wants it i´ll send them the file via email.
