Its not about giving foul kicks, its about playing hard...see you don't understand what an Argentina Brasil rivarly means because probably you aren't Brasilian or Argentinean. With that in itself, you should not talk....Whenever Brasil and Argentina plays, it is like a final, and players lay everything out there to win, and sometimes that includes playing rough. And about Mexico, they were not better suited for Brasil since they did not make it to the finals, that already shows that Argentina was the best team to play against Brasil, not Mexico....

Btw: there is never a last laugh, unless one of these nations ceases to disappear, because both will continue to duke it out. And yes, now we are tied in Conferation Cup wins...

well playing hard is one thing ; and playing dirty is another ; i waht aregentina were doing was playing dirty ; and like i said i this is not the fisrt time ; with brazil,mexico, cuba , whatever; i seen a lot of argentina games ; and thats there style when losing bad; you beeing argentine wont or dont wanna see those things; and waht that hell beeing brazilian or argentine has to do with anything in the first place ; i saw the same game as you ;on the other hand i think you beeing argertine are the least to have and objective opinion; and about argentina beeing best team to play brazil ; i could give a rats arse i f they were the best or worst; tha wasnt the point; i just mention that mexico could giving a better fight ; meaning gameplay, tactics etc.. ;

plus i seen alot of posts mentioning that argentina lost cause of the 2 quick goals and argentina had mentally gone down; well to this i have to only one thing to say; if argentina are to ever to win again a world cup they really need to prepare ther selfs to comeback from results; they have done it dozens of times so dont think it as an a excuse; this is why thay havent won a wolr cup in many years; it doesnt matter if you have 20 stars in your squad if you dont prepare your self mentally first to win or even lose; mexico have the same problem thats why they cant get the results sometimes.

I don't see it that way and many of my non-argentinean friends see it that way. Hey, if you think Argentina played dirty, then good for you, you deserve a cookie. But, your opinion does and will probably not change the opinion of the majority and should in no way be held to be the truth. It may seem that we play dirty, but don't get confused, we play with a LOT OF HEART, and we don't like to lose, EVER...Just because we play physically does not mean that we are dirty... Argentina plays just as dirty as any other NT team, don't exaggerate. I know that many people here "hate" Argentina, but I don't give a f u c k, everyone today played very hard, and although some of our players were hitting hard, they said sorry when they were mistaken...i.e. Aimar, Sorin, etc....and about Mexico, I don't think Mexico could have given a better fight, for some reason they did not make it to the finals...I am not using the two quick goals as a complete "excuse" but I am saying that it had to do a lot with the troubles that Argentina had in executing. I said that you have to be Argentine or Brasilian to know what it feels to play against the other team, every game we play is basically a fight to the death, and don't question me on that....That is why everyone hits hard, and does not want to give up any space...you have to either be Argentine or Brasilian to know what it feels like to play against the other side...I do agree that Argentina have to be ready to comeback from hard results, but look at it, both goals from Brasil did not arise from Brasil creating "elaborate" plays, but rather from the feet of some very talented players. The goals came in very shortly in the first half, which does have an effect...

But please, lets move on, Brasil won, and congratulations to them... all I hope is that Pekerman learns his lesson and puts the best players on the lineup, because we certainly did not have them today...But, I know Argentina will not let what happen today happen in a World Cup again...

Pekerman should have taken out Figueroa at the first minutes of the second half... but anyway, well deserved win for Brasil... :)

For some reason Figueroa does not convince me, but thank god we have Crespo at least...

Yes that's true, that's why probably some don't consider this a rematch for the eliminatories, actually it was something different, and the players wanted to play against Argentina for what it represented a final vs. Argentina a plain rematch for the WCQ match, 'cuz at any rate that one was a rematch for Argentina for what happened in Brazil in 2004.

Yea, that's correct. One would think that the Argentinian coach would give more importance to a final against Brazil.

I thought it was the first time we played you in the Confederation Cup. If you're meaning titles, correct me if i'm wrong, but you won it in 1992, and we won in 1997 (Saudi Arabia) and 2005.

Nah Messi isn't ready for the adults yet, maybe in 2010.

And yes it's the first time Argentina and Brazil played against each other in the confederations cup. Argentina won in 1992, and Brazil in 1997 and now 2005. Also it's the second time Argentina loses in the final the first time was in 1995, vs. Denmark. And if i recall correctly back then this cup was made in January not in June.

PS: We should open an Argentina National team thread, either here or in the spanish forum.

I read in an Argentine paper, La Nacion, that both teams are tied...They both won 34 times, and tied 22, for a total of 90 games...

You mean in matches played between both teams in overall history then. In your post you said "We are tied in Confederation Cup wins".
