They're just mad that they talked a whole bunch of crap about Ruud wanting to come, then they felt stupid when he chose Madrid. Who cares? One way or another Hargreaves is coming.

guess you should watch more football then...oh, and not the american one...
Oh please... ive probably seen 100x more bundesliga matches than you. I bet you were asking for Owens head before the WC.. and now that he played a few decent matches you want him on your team. And please take that american football comment and shove it up your ass. You probably dont have a clue about anything outside the premiership anyway.

don't know how true it is, probably **** but anyways:
According to some reports in spain and england a 26.6 million pound deal has been agreed and El Nino will arrive in Manchester on the 22nd/23rd of August for his medical. it is also reported he will sign a 4 year deal worth around £70,000 per week. This in turn will promt a big scramble between premiership and champioship clubs for Guiseppe Rossi on a 1 year loan deal, Preston and WBA look like early faves

Let's hope that it's true, but I doubt it

Bayern threaten United

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has threatened to report Manchester United to Fifa over their attempts to sign Owen Hargreaves.

The German champions have made it clear that they have no intention of letting the England international move to Old Trafford, but the Premiership giants are still trying to broker a deal.

Rummenigge now says his club will look to have The Red Devils sanctioned should their efforts to lure Hargreaves continue.

"We have told Manchester United that they should stop trying to tempt Hargreaves. If they don't we will have to turn to Fifa," Rummenigge told the tz newspaper.

"A club may only contact a player if that player's own club gives its permission.

"We are not like Hamburg, who decided to sell Khalid Boulahrouz the moment they had an offer for him.

"We are FC Bayern and we don't give in to anybody. Here it is the employer who decides what happens and not the employee," the former German international striker added.

Hargreaves has intimated his desire to quit The Allianz Arena for United, but it seems Sir Alex Ferguson faces an uphill battle to land the 25-year-old.

I guess Bayern won't be letting OH go.. and to be honest, I am not convinced that it is bad for us.

Dont get me wrong, OH could be a great player for us, but really, who are we going to drop?

Scholes? Giggs? Ronaldo? Carrick? Saha? Rooney?

Yes, the players mentioned above might get injured, but we should not be in the business of spending all that money for a squad player. Carrick should not be a squad player either because he is also a good player with potential. OH have been great for England and useful for Bayern, but so has Carrick when he played for England and Tottenham, and he has EPL experience.

And I rather not have him than to see us play 4-5-1 with only Rooney up front.

In a year or 2, Bayern will probably be in a position to sell and then we can get him. By then, Scholes and Giggs's spots should be freed up and OH would've had much more experience and improvement. Chances are, his price tag would not be as exaggerated either!

So its not all doom and gloom.

We definitely don't have the best midfield in the league (on paper), but really, who would you drop?

It would be great if OH joins, but its not the end of the world if he doesnt.

On a side note, if SAF have been looking at OH before the WC, why didnt he bid for him before the WC? With his experience, he is bound to know OH's value will skyrocket if he does well!

im sure we will do very well this season, is everyone forgetting how well we did last season with squad players filling in the middle of the park? now we have good players whose natural roll is in that part of the park. these guys i feel are capable of turning our excessive number of draws last season into wins. mark my words, chelsea are going to have a tougher fight on their hands this seasons, cant wait.
