why is everyone in Portugal obsessed with GTI models and tuning.
I love sports cars, but only the ones that are REALLY built to be sports cars.
anyway if you really want one of those, you can just go to Germany or Italy for a few days and pick up a used one and bring it. Even if you have to pay the tax to get it legal in Portugal, it is much much cheaper than buying here.
Oh and the tax is also calculated based on the engine size, so if you want a sports car the ideal is to get a 2000 one at most with loads of horsepower rather than a 3000 and something one with less horsepower.
That's why I'm thinking atm of going to pickup a Mazda Rx-8 as soon as I can. It has a special kind of engine and that makes the engine size be only 1300, therefore the tax to pay is very reduced.
