After you installed either a flip-top or slide-card all you need to load up the boot cd and then when prompted open the lid/tray and change the discs. That's it. You're playin backups/imports now, son.

I'm going to order me a FlipTop and the Swap Discs, but does anyone know how the customs-system works? I think in Norway, if a package costs more than 200 kr (about £16 UK Pounds or about $30 US Dollars), I have to pay customs.

Anyone know this?

Can i use a gameshark to play WE7i(japan)? Ive been playing WE7 for a year now, and would desperately like to try WE7i. But i dont want to waste time and money trying to import it/burn it if i cant use a gameshark.

Bro, lets go over this again, slowly, tell me exactly what you did.

Here's the steps..:

1. Take the case off, detach the reset/eject things from it. Watch not to damage the silver cable.

2. Take the cover off the DVD Drive. You must be able to see the laser and tray.

3. Put the reset/eject things into the new cover and put it on. Again, try not to damage the silver cable. Tape it to the side when puttin the new cover on so that it don't break.

Oh, I know what you mean!

No! Don't attach that piece.

The laser and tray must be visiable.

Take the white thing out of that piece and put it in the fliptop.

Then put the fliptop on!

And you're all set!

Same as in the older cover - magnet down.

And as for tray:

1) something could be blockin it

2) silver cable squezzed too hard in between some of the parts

3) silver cable damaged

well, that pretty much depends on what you last played...

the laser moves a lot when reading disks...

don't tell me you were tryin to move it? :D

move it a bit towards the middle.

the laser always starts readin the inner parts then the outter.

 erm...yeah I touched it...:f***: ...should there be a beam when I hit power?? (stupid question?) should I see it I mean?
Can i pop a regular US game in the ps2? or what do I need to do?

Well, you shouldn't be able to see it because your lid should be closed when playin disks... otherwise you'll damage your eyes.

That's if you have a black lid ^. What color is yours? If it's white, you can actually see the beam.

Or are you saying you hit the power button with the lid open and w/o any disk? Yeah, you should see it. When you turn your system on, the laser turns on as well and searches for a disk.

You can now pop in any game from your region and play it normally.

If you want to play burned games / imports - use your swap magic cd/dvd.

Pop that **** in, when the "insert disk" screens comes up, open the lid, switch disks, close the lid and press X.

:)
