I attend York University in Toronto.

Got accepted into U of T, Ryerson and University of Guelph but chose York because it's a better sports school then the other schools I applied to. They also offered me the largest entrance scholarship out of all the schools so it wasn't hard to accept their offer. I chose to major in Computer science initially but realized that it ******* sucks. Changed my major to Kinesiology and graduating in two years with my BA.

Then it's off to flight college to get my pilot's licenses and build up hours to work in the industry.

Do NOT major in Comp Sci. Worst mistake of my life and I'm paying for it now. :D;)

Worst case scenario, I plan to attend Teacher's college in Melbourne, Australia at Deakin University. That of course is a last resort as my goal at the moment is to pursue a career in the aviation industry.

what was your average at midterm of your last year in high school? and your final average of your top 6 courses? i was gonna take com sci, but as u said it was probably your worst mistake, but i get to hear that (not nessarily from u, everyone says its bad!!)

btw, i heard york university has some of the hottest chicks when compared with other universities :hump: :hump: ... how true is this?

My final year average at midterm was 85.0 and fell to 83.6 at the end of the school year. I had the luxury of only taking two OAC's for 3 straight semesters because I was ahead in credits.

My OAC final marks were: English(87), Calculus(86),Chemistry(83), Finite(75), Comp Studies(83), World Issues(88)

My last semster I took Calculus and World Issues so those marks came down from an 85 to 83.6.

You'll get into most schools with an 80% average, might have a chance with 75%. In your worst case scenario, apply for something like Psychology which requires an average of 65% and then change your major after first year. Don't take core courses and take all electives first year so you can transfer your credits.

I agree that you should avoid Comp sci. like the plague.:D I wish had someone telling me to make that choice now.

The girls at york are really good, and if your in the right classes you'll meet a few of them. Take electives like Geography, Italian, etc. and you won't regret it.(Y) Classes like programming at York are filled with nerds who are only interested in counterstrike and programming. I'm not trying to promote a stereotype but I've witnessed it myself.

York is good for sports aswell. We play pick up soccer 3 or 4 times a week at the gym which is massive and when the new national Tennis centre is complete we are supposedly allowed to use the practice courts. Ice gardens is nearby and shinny hockey is only $10 for 4 hours.

Worst thing about York is the parking. It's $276 a semester so if you have a car your gonna have to pay $552 a year just to park.

I have a lot of classes with guys like that, but I've found the one other normal guy in the major and we do all the work together. Really, it's not that bad here. Maybe it just sucks in Canada. :p

The bonus is, anytime I tell a girl what my major is, they reply with something like "Oooh, that sounds hard. You must be smart." And they are cleary able to see that I'm not a nerd. :D

Mann, it's so different in Poland :crazyboy:

In Poland if you have a computer, internet, play games, etc. you're considered cool :D

A lot of my popular friends (obviously not nerds (H) ) are majoring in computer science (or if they arent at Uni yet, they know a lot about it)... they program, code, play games, etc. But at the same time they're not nerds, fat, smelly... they go out to parties, get drunk, stoned, have girlfriends, etc.

As for me....

Meh I dunno... I get alright grades, but not good enough for a scholarship. And I'm not involved in any clubs, so that also decreases my chances... And I dont even know how much my dad makes, but its around 90k a year add or subtract a few thousand, so that doesn't help me either to get a scholarship.... (but at the same time my parents wont pay for my college)

Right now my total GPA 9th + 10th grade is around 3.4 I think, but wherever you go to school that would be about 3.6 because I have a tougher grading scale. (for you Canadians, that's like a 90 average, since a B+ = 89-93% over here and 90%=3.5 GPA)

You need an undergraduate degree to get into Chiropractic college. It's probably recommended that you get your degree in Biology or a similar major(Biochem, chemistry, etc).
