Oh and tits.
He seems more like Xabi Alonso/Arteta to me but from what I know he was encouraged to move more forward last season at Rennes and didn't have the best of seasons. His stats defensively are very good. His passing seems to be really clean and accurate(some very decent vertical passes as well). He seems calm and doesn't dive into tackles. From what I've seen I think if he develops well he can dictate games from his position so I don't see why he needs to play box to box. More like a deep lying playmaker who can defend.

One of the highlights for me of Euro 2012 is that Wegner is doing the commentary on French TV. So I'll get tweets occasionally when Wegner says something interesting from people watching the game in French. Today was interesting:

Wenger now going into raptures over Mario Gotze, how perfect he is in every regard, shall I compare thee to a summer's day. Transfer or not?

You've been buying a lot of guys for that position. I would think Chelsea are out of the running.
Oh I didnt mean for that reason, I just think he's better than Arsenal, and I dont want Wenger benefitting from him then getting 70m from Madrid in three years time. Nah I dont hold out any real hope of getting him (though I would love it) but I would like him to go straight to a top club and preferably not one of our major rivals.

It is interesting in that the top Spanish clubs don't really need him (although I guess I could see him on the right at Madrid) nor really do United/Chelsea/City. The Italian clubs could all use him, but that actually IS a step down and I don't think the league befits Gotze's style either. Bayern won't make a move, and there's no other German team that could make a play. So Arsenal seem like the last option really, but you wonder how much they would actually pay him; Dortmund might be able to come close to Arsenal's financial package.

And now he's next to Reus who is better than Kagawa, although it would have been so great to see Lewandowski ahead of Reus-Kagawa-Gotze.

I wouldnt be surprised if Gotze plays out another season or two at Dortmund, cementing his reputation whilst waiting for the perfect spot to become available for him at a top club. I hope he does that.

Hazard was on Arsenal's radar last season, instead he chose to wait one more season at Lille and as a result got to pick between amazingly high money offers from the Champions League winners and the EPL champions.

Gotze would be stuff of dreams but its not gonna happen...not this summer and imo we would do better to build the squad with depth this time while get rid of as many dead weight players as we can.

Its a crucial season for us. We absolutely have to make sure we have a team able finish in the top four without much trouble while show potential to grow(be in the title race to finish as high as possible and maybe a trophy!) to attract players and better commercial deals(which are close).

Looking at the player situation of the big clubs(Shifty's post),keeping FFP in mind, the need of "stars",Wenger's clear love for Gotze, Gotze's love for Arsenal, possibility of Barca/Real going tits up etc......we just might be able to sign Gotzinho and he most likely would be better prepared to move.

I feel more apathetic to Arsenal each season, I really don't expect anything anymore. I guess I never imagined after 2005 that we'll enter such a deep recession. Wenger may well be interested Mario Götze and have him on his radaer just like Hazard since 2008 or so, but all that'll happen is some team with more money and a brighter future will appear and 'poof' there he goes.

It is just so sad really. From beating Barca in the CL last 16 1st leg,in the CC final,FA cup semi and in the title race to losing against bloody Birmingham city managed by that sunburnt testicle Mcleish,Barca beating us with Cesc assisting them in an Arsenal shirt, made to look foolish by a reserve Utd team full of defenders in the FA cup and finishing 4th after an embarrassing collapse of epic proportions.

Then in the summer Cesc leaves in such a way that you would never have expected. The same Cesc Fabregas that.....
Arsene Wenger: I would play him in a 4-4-2 with Patrick Vieira and I saw it did not work. Then I had the decision to make about letting Patrick go, because Gilberto Silva and Vieira worked, Fabregas and Silva worked, but I could not play Fabregas and Vieira. But Fabregas was 19 and if he did not play I knew he would want to go, so we risked destroying everything, all the work we had put into this player.
And now Patrick Vieira taps up Arsenal players for Man City. So ******* embarrassing.

What has getting rid of senior champion players so fast for some youth project brought to us? Some pampered, ungrateful and spoilt bunch of players who can't handle the slight bit of pressure and then leave at the first sign of trouble when they realise they are good enough complaining about the same policy which made them.

I have stopped judging Wenger and actually feel sorry for him. He is a good man and even if he is a frustrating old goat he is our frustating old goat as Arseblogger would say lol. But its a crying shame what has happened when you think if Arsene had been a little more pragmatic and not been such a soft touch....if Arsenal would have invested a little in the right players instead of piling kids on top of each other...all of this could have been avoided.

All that however is in the past now. That summer and the season last must have been a real shock of reality to Arsene and the others running the club. Football has changed for the better or worse and we will be left further behind if we don't. We could drop out of CL places right near the time of renewals and funnily enough near the time when FFP comes in which Arsene,Gazidis and co keep banging on about with a messed up squad and stupid wage strucure. Its still not too late and in our hands. The money being saved up in the bank won't score you a goal or save you from one.

Oh and please take a hit to sell the dross. No one is going to pay the asking price for players we want rid. I think we can take a hit in transfers according to fellow Gooner Swiss Ramble.

Giroud and Poldi this early is top job from the club.

M'vila- http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...-on-the-rocks-following-france-euro-2012-spat

It's just the latest in a long line of incidents which have clouded M'Vila's character, with plenty unimpressed that he's been arrested three times in the past two years for various offences including attacking a restaurant owner after a bout of road rage, using prostitutes and punching a teenage boy who had shown an interest in his sister.

sign him up,Arsene (H)

Sounds more like a Chelsea player to me (H)

13m for Giroud is a real bargain. Quite an attack you've got there.

Apparently a lot of the deals you had lined up for unloading your crap have fallen though though.

This guy might actually be a good signing.

haha at Gallas / Nasri.

It looks like RVP is not going to extend his contract and eventually leave the club, another below for Arsenal fans, it looks like loosing the main star every year became an epidemy.
