And can someone please tell me what this ball shooting bug is??
I think the shooting is fine in this version. What is wrong with the ball physics??

You are right, for the last guys there is nothing that needs to be patched about the ball physics, balll physics is determined by a bunch of equations, if you don't like the default settings, there is a file in the FIFA2002/data/environment folder called the ini.big file, you can open it in word pad or note pad, make shcanges and save it, and u would see the changes in the game, there you would find lots of options you can change for the on-pitch game, including all the ball physics, to avoid every thing you dislike about ball physics(i.e. too much boounce, not enough height, etc have a look and fiddle around for yourself) alternatively, some people have made some great patches, having altered and fiddle with these details themselves and tested them. You can download their ini.big files and use them, go to the links section for soemlinks, or look in othere posts on this forum (if they havne't been deleted) try fifastyle.com or soccered.com and go to their patch sections, if not use their links, you'd find some somewhere.

SO I repeat, this aspect needs no patch, you can chang eit, EA don't have to mak e a patch for it, if they do trust me all they would have done, owuld have cahnged some of teh figures that you can change and including that ini.big in their new patch.

Been playing muliplayer via direct I.P with ADSL connection. Plays really well but the clients controllers revert to default settings not the settings they have configured on their own PC. In fact contoller config generally sucks. The Microsoft Sidewinder Pro did not work properly, the Z button would not map to any function ended up getting a Gravis pro instead, works well.

Things ea must add:

First more teams

world cup

greek leauge

training

flares in the crowds

update the stadiums

ball for every league (e.g champions league ball when yu palying champion league )

palease to add panathinaikos

new adboards

when i download a stadium and install it it won't overwright the default fifa 2002 stadium.

and the tv logos.

Anything other problem must fix.

Many of the other suggestions are very good, but I have only one wish. I can't play FIFA2002 because I have a SideWinder plug and play gamepad. It's not a PRO with all the schemes and so on, its a simple usb gamepad.

I want to remap my gamepad in the game! I am also able to do that but it wont save! It's impossible to play the game now, some of my friends play it on the keyboard when they visit me, but I can't play before this bug is fixed.

And no, it's not my job to spend money on a Gravis gamepad, it's EA Sport's job to fix the problem for me and everybody else who has this problem.

Yes it is there, but here is the catch, its not a user selectable team, every year EA seem to do this, have a few extra clubs availble....BOAVISTA is one such (called simply Porto as opposed to FC Porto, which is in the game as FC PORTO). but not as user selectable teams.

DOn't ask me why, I don't know, those teams are complete and full, they are locked out of the game. FED2k1 (a patch program created by Chau - who is often on the forum) had the ability to make these teamm user-selectable, and other patch makers, have managed to un-lock them so gamers can use. Maybe you can complain to EA and tell them to make those locked up teams usable, or maybe they can be unlocked by winning competitions, I simply don't know.

All I know is when newly loaded on to the PC, teams such as Panathinaikos (called Leoforos) and Boavista FC (called Porto) are their and often appear in season mode, but cannot be selected by users to play.

Need patching

How about patching the injuries... that is, after a player gets injured, the next game he is still in the starting 11! This is annoying...

That doesn't always happen, infact every time myplayer has been injured he misses a game, sometimes more, and as you say, sometimes in the next game, just like in real life. in FIFA2k2, the assistant also tells you wot type of injury and how serious is it..I suppose that gives an indication on how long the player will be out.

Does this happen on the original Leagues, and on the custom leagues too?

What is so bad about FIFA2002 anyways? Everything is great and they have improved alot over last years version:cool:

Where is the World Cup Competition? Whats the fun of just qualifying for the cup and not going all the way?:mad:
