Absolutely...I am quite confident that a draw in the Chelsea/Pool game would give us the title.

But Chelsea can score goals like nobody else in the league and I fear that without Torres, Liverpool don't have the quality to do it.

Fletcher and Evra voted in the XI team too. 3 united players in total

Both players broke into the football scene at almost the same time, great players and both deserved, congrats!......I have a feeling that SAF will be in for Milner this summer....atleast I wouldn't be suprised if he tries to get him

Like cfdemarco I can't see Liverpool scoring against Chelsea, but they have the ability to defend well, and games between both teams often ends in draws, I am confident that Liverpool will get something out of the game, a draw is enough for us

Funny enough both achieved their breakthroughs against London clubs.
Rooney, that famous shot which ricocheted off the bar against Arsenal and became the youngest ever goalscorer in the EPL and Milner subsequently broke that record when he scored against us.

Still don't understand how a player can win the Player of the Year award and not win the Young Player of the Year award.

Winning the former disqualifies you from contention for the latter? I'm just guessing, but that would make sense.

Thats weird. Rooney and Milner are the same age! At 24 years of age, he shouldn't have been candidate for "young" player of the year. 24 is no longer young. That should've been for players under 21.

Btw, thats the leaked new United jersey just in case you didn't notice it in the new kits thread:

No, Ronaldo got both 2 years ago.

The home kit looks nice, the away one is kinda meh.

With regards to the PFA team of the year...great to see 4 united players making it and evra has been named for the 3rd year running if im not wrong. oh...Drogba and Rooney...one heck of a strike duo if you ask me.

4 United players this term...not bad...last year we had 7 though.

About the new kits, I think the home shirt has a lot of promise! I want to see it on someone.

Not too crazy about the away shirt though...

found these photo's, the first lot being photoshop mock ups. The last one is interesting. The story is that the shirts were submitted in 2009. Apparently lots of designs are previewed before final selection.

Have you guys noticed that everyone and their brother is now wearing those new ugly-ass purple Mercurial Vapors?

I think I saw like 4 people wearing them in the City/Arsenal game.

Home kit looks decent, don't really like the away kit though tbh.

Fascinating scenario with the Liverpool-Chelsea match. I think Liverpool will go for it still because otherwise 4th is gone. We can't lose in that respect because if we lose the title then it'll probably be because Chelsea win at Anfield, which in turn stops Liverpool making the CL :innocent_smile_1:

I thought it was gone anyway when King headed in that equaliser but Nani's goal was quality. Berbatov played well to be fair to him (even though a piece of the puzzle seems missing overall) and Giggs, well, just a legend really.

Chelsea will be really unlucky if they don't win the title, they've absolutely destroyed Stoke, Villa and Sunderland at home. I think there was a stat on sky the other day saying they've averaged over 4 goals per game at home this calendar year.

Chelsea needs like 3 goals I believe to overtake our record for most league goals in a season (97). Not bad for a team being considered mostly a long-ball team.

But that's as accurate as considering you dependant on Tevez. Even when it was close to being the case, it wasn't.

Yeah they look a little camp. I loved the new T90 colours though, the blue and gold.

I hate to say but that shot of Rooney in the home kit is a little presumptious - we don't know if we'll have the gold premiership badges on the sleeves next season (and to be honest, I think Chelski will seal it on Sunday  )

What really concerns me is that United make the necessary moves to ensure we can challenge next season. Regardless of whether we bring the trophy home or not in the next two weeks, we will need to strengthen this summer.

We'll have Anderson and a fully fit Hargreaves back too, of course - I think Anderson could be the dynamic attacking midfielder we lacked at times, and Hargreaves would be great to protect our back four (which can hopefully remain intact this time)

Another rumour today, Fergie is set to bid for Ashley Young - a move I would love to see happen. Although I think Nani is now beginning to show his full potential.
