"When will the Wii release?”
The Wii release date is November 19 in North America, December 2 in Japan, December 7 in Australia, and December 8 in Europe. As promised by Satoru Iwata, all of the launches are taking place within a three week period, and before Thanksgiving as well as under $250 in North America.
“How much will the Wii cost?”
The Wii will cost $249 US in North America, which includes a copy of Nintendo’s Wii Sports (boxing, bowling, baseball, golf, and tennis). It will cost about $219 in Japan, but that doesn’t include Wii Sports.
"What will the Wii (in North America) come with?"
With the Wii in North America, you'll get:
-the system (only in white at launch)
-one Wii remote
-one nunchuck
-sensor bar and stand
-all the necessary cables
-and manuals and a pretty box
From what we know, Virtual Console points and a classic controller are not included with any region, but I have heard that Virtual Console points will be given out with purchases of the Classic Controller in Japan.
“How much will the accessories cost?”
The remote will cost $40, the nunchuck will cost $20, and the classic controller will be $20.
“How will the virtual console work?”
Nintendo announces that 30 games will be available by the end of the year in North America, and starting January 2007, 10 games or more should be added each month. Games will be purchased with points, and will cost about $10, $8, and $5 for N64, SNES, and NES games, respectively.
“How do I go about preordering?”
This seems to be a tricky case depending on the retailer. Some stories such as Toys R' Us are already taking preorders, but in my personal opinion, that may not be safe because they don't know how many systems they will get yet which could cause some problems around launch time.
The forums are buzzing with EB Games/Gamestop rumors, but the most logical one to me sounds like the one where EB Games and Gamestop managers, as well as managers from other stores are going to be going to a Wii launch conference where they will find out the information about launch allocations. I have confirmed this with my local EB. I've seen a few topics saying the conference is the 20th and to begin asking about preorders Monday or Tuesday. That might be your best bet.
“Most importantly, what about the launch games?”
The launch games have been the most confusing to some, so here’s the confirmed list for North America for launch day games. Nintendo announces that their games will cost $50 US. The list from Gamespot:
Excite Truck (Nintendo)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo)
Wii Sports (Nintendo, included with every system)
Call of Duty 3 (Activision)
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision)
Rapala Tournament Fishing (Activision)
Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam (Activision)
World Series of Poker (Activision)
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Atlus)
Madden NFL 07 (EA)
Need for Speed: Carbon (EA)
Elebits (Konami)

Rayman Raving Rabbids (Ubisoft)

“Any differences for the Japanese and European launch titles?”
Yes, there are a few differences. Here’s the Japanese launch day list from IGN:
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Atlus)
Elebits (Konami)
Machi Kuru Domino (Success)
Necro-Nesia (Spike)
Super Monkey Ball (Sega)
Swing Golf Panya (Tecmo)
Wing Island (Hudson)
Kororinpa (Hudson, action-pinball)
SD Gundam Revolution (Bandai Namco)
Ennichi no Tatsujin (Bandai Namco, festival-styled mini-games)
Tamagotchi no Pika Pika Daitouryou (Bandai Namco)
Red Steel (Ubisoft)
Wii Sports (Nintendo)
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (Nintendo)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo)
Hajimete no Wii (also known as Wii Play, collection of mini-games with free Wii remote)
Europe’s list seems to be much like that of North America expect for Nintendo's offering of Wii Play instead of Excite Truck for a third first-party launch title.
