it is indeed me that is using the sig over at RAWK.
as for the right-back comment, finnan has been good but i still think there's room for improvement. josemi was looking promising but suddenly made loads of defensive mistakes. better cover is needed imo. the left back position will be riise's once again once kewell is fit so no need for a player there, unless we want some good defensive cover.
you might argue that hyypia is on the decline, but i think thats just a stereotype for the older players. you can't really ship out hyypia to make way for pace as we would then lose the height advantage. we have short term cover in the form of pellegrino, but he's pretty slow too. its either we replace hypia with someone who is both tall and fast, or we don't replace him at all. again, the only answer to our problem imo is ledley king. if only spurs would sell him cheap.
i've read someone comment that we would need a new CM when gerrard leaves and that kikland and dudek are "diabolical". completely wrong in my opinion. gerrard hasn't really said that he's leaving. wait untill summer i say.
after that manyoo howler, dudek has been playig pretty well at the moment. kirkland was looking good, aside from set peices, then he got injured again. we also have carson, who looks pretty good too. all the lad needs is experience.
i'm just wondering, with all the talk of owen being unhappy at real, is there any chance we'd take him back? i hear we've got a first option on him but i really don't see him coming back unless baros leaves. cisse is too expensive to release after a season, and moro is well...moro.
