No one can save this team, it'll be a year or two before they can fix or improve on what DePodesta did. I'll give him this though, our farm system hasn't been as good as it is right now in a while. We'll see what happens soon as to who will replace him, a decision needs to be made soon.Deisler said:Great.....
And who will be next? Man not even Ozzie can save your @ss with the team you guyz have.
I suppose that was directed at me. With the playoffs being unpredictable and my lack of care for it this year, I have an excuse. Anyway, congrats to the Venezuelans.dannyeli said:Where are all the talks about Houston been better in this forum ?
I was and still bias and also i was right, chicago white sox your world series champions
I haven't post because of hurricane wilma, but im here to tell you guys that Guillen is a hell of a manager, not scared to play aggresive baseball and to leave the pitchers do their job.
Oh and what a job he did leaving Freddy Garcia to the final game, so a venezuelan manager plus a venezuelan pitcher getting the win ? it couldn't gone any bette :chew:
Oh yeah, damn DePodesta, if it wasn't for him, Edwin Carlos*son wouldn't have blown his arm out!ManU2000 said:No one can save this team, it'll be a year or two before they can fix or improve on what DePodesta did. What, you think I'm blaming him for that? Sorry if I'm a little slow right now, its pretty late. His whole "Moneyball" philosophy just didn't work out this season. Granted, considering how many injuries we had, we were never able to see just how good this team was. I honestly don't think it possibly could have been much better than it was this past season and it was time for a change, even if it was made pretty hastily.Hyun said:Oh yeah, damn DePodesta, if it wasn't for him, Edwin Carlos*son wouldn't have blown his arm out!

The guy's smart so I would expect him to stay as far away from here as possible. He won't have nearly the budget he had in Boston available to him so it'll be hard to bring in some talented, high-priced guys like he did there. Honestly, who ever gets hired is in for a tough time, no matter how qualified that person may be.Deisler said:Theo Epstein was offered the GM position at the LA Dogders with the option of having a piece of their shares.
