That was this year I guess. I definitely didn't see that last year. I finished the second season and finished 5th. I imagine that sends me to the Europa League qualifiers, so I need to beef up my team. Althouugh after a while it became a bit of a pain to keep playing. Maybe after a hiatus from playing it while I play my player mode on 2k, I will get back to it.

yeah, I can imagine I'd be feeling the same if I weren't simming so much ... got through the season having only played the Coupe de La Ligue games:

comfortably won the league ... was disappointed to have lost in the League Cup semis, but not having that European distraction may be a blessing in disguise, coz I've got a very lean, very young squad -- sacrificing European-level depth to have the funds for all my "necessary" transfers ...

now I'm looking forward to pulling a Kaiserslautern next season!

alright, pre-season in the top-flight, and I've been busy in the transfer market, and with the friendlies (drew with Man City at the Beaujoire) ...

tried to sign Antoine Griezmann, but he's worth a whopping EIGHTEEN million now ... so I tried the loan route, and was unsurprisingly rebuffed ...

so I scoured for more youngsters I rate, as well as some bargain deals based on qualities I'm looking for ... ended up splashing out on two promising defenders: French RB Sébastien Corchia, and Swiss CB François Affolter ... and I had better luck with a loan deal for Moudrid's Varane ...

Nampalys Mendy is now the skipper ... and the bargain deals have been excellent:

- Abdou Razack Traoré (an Ivorian-born, Moroccan-educated, Burkinabe) signed from Gdańsk in Poland ...

- and signed from Numancia in Spain, I found one of the fastest players in the world: Zaïrian winger Cedric Mabwati ...

Been playing a lot of NBA2K12, re-started the My Player thing, with a proper, NBA-tall guy. Named him Paulo Sergio.

Hahaha, no this is their current manager, Paulo Sérgio who managed Sporting last year (until he was fired). He got a job in Scotland and became instant favourite when they beat Celtic 2-0.

Been playing a lot of NBA2K12, re-started the My Player thing, with a proper, NBA-tall guy. Named him Paulo Sergio.

I did too thinking the modified roster would incorporate the rookies into the draft, but turns out that it didn't. So now I have generic rookies, mixed with the real rookies already in the roster... eh. I'm like 6 games in and I suck ass. I think I actually did better last time around. I ended up getting drafted by the ******* Jazz again, so I'll have to ask for a trade near the deadline to a team that benifits me. That or I can suck it up and sign with another team in a couple of years.


Also, FIFA is retarded with the transfers. In my save, Chicharito went to Malaga, which I guess it's plausible. Except Nasri went back to Arsenal (WTF?), Nani went to Tottenham, and Man U purchased Sneijder and Modric.

I could see United buying both of those players. Not inconceivable that they'd be in the market for players like that if Cleverly doesn't work out and Giggs retires. And if Chicharito leaves they may switch to 4-2-3-1 more regularly, not play 4-4-2.

Obviously Nasri and Nani would never make their transfers though.

played one game (the cup final), and simmed the rest (spent a whole 35 minutes on the season) ... this is the result:

talking to Wiltord was interesting ... he ended up being the leader who led the cup run:

the game actually recognized his farewell match, so I gave him the captain's armband ...

decided to play the cup final (against Lille) ... scored an early goal in the second half, and then just kept possession at the back to run out the clock for the remaining 42 (!) minutes -- this is why I detest offline vs. AI!

anyway, here's the cup celebration shot:

so, "zeru tituli" successfully avoided ... and despite only finishing midtable (with a sh!t-ton of draws), we'll be in Europe next season!

Dude, it's a game. Have fun, don't knock the ball between your center backs for 42 minutes. Even if it guarantees victory.

You just have to keep using those points to improve the stats, rookie year would be amazing if you were the best, but there's like what, 10 more years? One thing that annoys me though is that the easiest level is "Pro". What? What about people like me who want to have fun and beat it all?

Anyway, I managed to be drafted 13th by the Suns, which was good because my player is a SF, and their best players Nash and Carter aren't so that allows me some good time. But yeah I get beaten all the time though.

I had to dial back from Superstar to all star because I was averaging three turnovers a game and it was pissing me the **** off. Once I did that, I've been doing better. I got 25 points, 4 rebounds 3 assists/steals in 24 minutes the game after I took down the difficulty. Jazz blows, though. Team is like 2-9. Can't wait to get out of that hellhole.
