Yeah I suck too, but let's face it, no everyone can be LeBron James. You just have to keep using those points to improve the stats, rookie year would be amazing if you were the best, but there's like what, 10 more years? One thing that annoys me though is that the easiest level is "Pro". What? What about people like me who want to have fun and beat it all? :(

If you're looking to beast it with your player from the get go, check out this thread for a decent trainer:

Cheers! Not sure about using it though, it's not really the evolution process I mind, more that it's hard on the beginning for someone who isn't a regular 2K player like me. Might give it a try and see if it gets more fun, though, thanks again (Y) I did manage a "Jordan Player of the Game", and against Dallas of all teams! :D

So now in all star mode I can't make shots? What the hell?! I went like 4/17 against the Blazers. Oh and making a perfect pass under the basket and the center bobbling it and losing possession should not count as a turnover on my part. The turnovers in this game are gonna drive me insane!

had a little time to continue my Nantes save, going through the 2013/14 pre-season ...

I tried to sign Cameroonian wonderkid Jean Marie Dongou, but it seems he's not in the game ...

so I decided to go for his Barça Juvenil partner-in-crime Gerard Deulofeu:

he came for pretty cheap, considering his potential (irl) ... notice also that I managed to get Varane back on loan for another season from Moudrid ...

I tried to sign Khouma Babacar, but he was too expensive ... decided therefore to go for Ghanaian starlet Richard Boakye:

finally, I brought in Edgar Salli from Monaco, who is a talented, lightning-fast AM/WF ... should be a very good season ahead

I went the route you did and simmed all league games and just played Europa League and cup games. I have a very solid backline (three CBs 80-79) and my RB is 72 but his tackling is through the roof.

Well, I have made it to the quarters on the EL and lost the cup in semis (******* PSG... haven't beat them once yet). Buuuuuut I'm in 18th place after about 25 games. I've been in relegation zone nearly all season. What gives? I figured I had a solid enough team to pull that off, but unless I play the games, I get an automatic loss/tie if I sim. Frustrating.

It'll be interesting if I win the EL and I get relegated, though. I almost feel like doing it on purpose to see if I get sacked despite qualifying to the Champion's via EL and end up getting relegated.

Guys, I believe some of you you saw trailer for new Brothers in Arms sequel, if it actually is a sequel...
Anway, at this year E3 new trailer appeared of, for me, most anticipating game.
Here it is - BiA Furious

Brother in Arms was my favorite FPS game ever made. Story was true and realism we find in all 3 parts were absolutely fantastic. I remember last words in Hells Highway; Legget said to Baker - "Baker, how do you feel about snow?". It was obvious that Battle of the Bulge is next part of BiA saga. And instead of that we got BiA - Furious aka Inglorious Bastards. I like the movie very much, but to implement this kinda story to one of the most realistic FPS is disgrace! Look just have many "dislikes" the trailer have. What's your thoughts about Furious?

I ended up not getting relegated; I ended 15th, which is pretty bad. Buuuut I won the EL in penalties in dramatic fashion against CSKA Moscow.

They called a ridiculous penalty on me when I was leading 2-1 around the 80th minute, and they scored.

Few minutes later I did a fake shot in the box and got taken down. I started celebrating like an idiot... then I took the penalty and missed it!

Anyway, after winning it all, I started renewing players' contracts and lost my captain for being too greedy. So I was ready to get to the transfer window to start replacing them, but turns out I got sacked for not doing well in the league. (H)

haha, so they did fire you? damn ... well, being the first 2nd division team to compete for the UEFA Super Cup doesn't make up for the lost league revenue, but I don't get how you got relegated with a Europa League-winning team ... do you select the team and sim match-by-match, or in one fell swoop from cup game to cup game using the calendar?

and what job offers have you gotten?

I started a FIFA 12 career mode with Stoke. First season, finished 11th, lost in the FA Cup and League Cup in the 3rd or 4th round, but luckily I didn't get fired due to fulfilling the mid-table finish the board wanted. Second season, finished 8th, won League Cup and I believe lost in the FA Cup in the QFs... So now the board wants me to win the Europa League, win a domestic cup and finish in the top 4. Are you serious?! Although after about 10 games I'm sitting in/around 4th with 3 or 4 other teams.

Signed Keisuke Honda 2nd season for 22M, finished top scorer along with Lukaku who I had on loan. Tried to sign him at the start of the 3rd season but Chelsea wouldn't budge, so I signed Abel Hernandez from Palermo for 20M. Nice to have him partnering Kenwyne Jones because he's such a ******* bullet, can latch onto any ball and leave the defense behind. Signed van der Wiel very first season for about 9M, been getting bids for over 13M for him but too good to let go. Other than that, no major signings, just loaning a bunch of players and selling some rotation players to make some decent coin. Also, signed some 19 year old Brazilian RB named Maicon, was only a 61 when I signed him and played him at LB the entire 2nd season, turns out to be a ******* STUD and way better than the 61 rating (although he's a 64 now) that he's branded with.

Also, I've figured out a way to **** the system over. When a player's contract is expiring and he's not an absolutely essential member of your squad, let it expire and then try to sign him again as a free agent. They take substantially less money (have done it for a good 3 or 4 players now, ex. Woodgate wanted 30K/week, let him go, signed him a week later for 8K/week). Anyone else notice this? Or is it common FIFA knowledge by now and I'm just being a dolt?

PS: If anyone has a good scout, go and scout Ghana NOW. So many gems it's unbelievable. Have two 14 year olds with 68-92 potential.

Yeah, they reviewed my contract and got a little contract page that had a "TERMINATED" stamp on it. I found that kinda funny, actually. (H)

I didn't get relegated, but their goal was for me to qualify to European competition via league play and I finished 15th... the year prior to that I qualified comfortably in fourth place, but I had to play nearly every match.

I go match by match when I sim. I mostly do it because if I assign my assistant to do the line ups, he plays the same players to exhaustion. I like to keep them fresh and rotate them; it also helps me play the younger players so they get better. But if I sim, I think it's like a 60% chance it sims a loss, maybe 30% for a draw and 10% for a win despite having a respectable squad.

I got offers from newly relegated Ajaccio... tempted to take it, but I'm kinda tired of the French league to be honest.

Rayo in Adelante. I might take that one although not crazy about having to play / sim 42 games plus cup games.

Shamrock Rovers... which would be tempting even if just to beef up my rep, but I'm sure it would get old quick.

Some Russian team near relegation and some Korean team. I saved it after getting sacked, so I haven't decided where to go yet.

I'll have to keep an eye on that. I only did that with one dude I ended up letting go because I needed the extra wage to sign a 79 rated striker from Malaga. I just happened to check free agents because I got this really reliable LB rated 74 (but has good stats and a good FK taker) for peanuts. I ended up swopping him back up for like a 3rd of what he originally wanted.

I also tried to do that with this Malian player (his name was Diarra I believe). His rating was 75 but since he was the best player of the team that first season, he wanted something ridiculous like 50k a week. I let him go and saw him on free agents, but at the time it said the window was closed. As soon as it opened some Italian team picked him up for peanuts.

Red Card - Life
Life Ban
Pretty much done with PES 2010, did Be a Legend mostly. I can retire my player now, whose 32 out of a possible 36. Wanted to play as a second striker mostly, with AMC and ST being the secondary positions, and my skillset was based largely on my passing ability, which sucked since to succeed you need speed, strength and finishing.

Started out at Birmingham playing as a poacher, mostly latching onto through balls for 1-on-1s thanks to my excellent movement, but poor finishing meant lots of chances and few goals. Got my groove, qualified for UEFA and won the FA cup the first year, and then got 2nd the following year, won the FA cup again, and reached the quarters of the UEFA cup with Brum.

Moved to Bordeaux where I replaced the Lyon-bound Gourcouff in the AMC slot and had a fantastic season, both scoring and providing in quantity, winning the french league, cup, and reaching the CL quarters.

Chelsea came knocking and I couldn't resist, packing my bags and going to the up-till-now rampant CL and Prem champions 3 years running. Got my wish and finally played as a seocnd striker, and spent 2 seasons there I think, maybe 3, scoring lots of goals and providing tons of assists, winning everything in the process.

Decided to explore the other leagues and other formations, so I left for 4-5-1 "strikerless" Roma, where I spent a season and won the league, but missed out on the Cup to Inter, who were a bitch to deal with. Also finally won the UEFA cup. Spent the season playing as the main striker and the focal point of the entire squad.

Real Madrid came in with an offer and I couldn't refuse to play for them and try to win everything in Spain. Won the domestic double but couldn't pip Chelsea for the CL title, losing out to them in the semis. Spent the year playing on the left wing in a 4-2-2-2 (2 DMs, 2 wingers, 2 strikers) which became a narrow 4-2-1-2-1 (2 DMs, 1 MC, 2 AMCs, 1 ST), where I played as the left-sided AMC. Linked up well with Ronaldo and Benzema and had a blast cutting inside and putting crosses in, having previously mostly played through the middle.

With only Holland left to conquer, I held out for a move to Ajax which never came, so I left for Utrecht, where I played as an MC, having a fantastic half-season, linking the midfield to the attack, moving all around the pitch, and running at defenders from deep. I say half a season because in January Ajax offered me a contract so I jumped ship. Ajax were 4th with Utrecht 1st, and I had just scored a hattrick against my new club in December to take them out of the running. Played my heart out as a main striker (which was far less interesting truth be told), but in the end Utrecht beat us to the title by one point. The season was an absolute failure in terms of titles, with Utrecht getting both domestic titles and Ajax being out of Europe by the time I appeared.

Decided to stay at Ajax despite offers from some big clubs, to try and conquer the land of the Cruyff. We dominated the league and cup, terrorising defenses and got the domestic double, and surprisingly, despite having an overall poor squad, we won the CL too, winning me my first World Player of the Year award.

With nothing left to win there I decided to skip town to Barcelona, and get a last shot at teaming up with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta. At first it was promising, I had played as an AMC, leading the attack and on either wing, and we were playing great footie, but soon after the manager decided to go defensive and we basically switched to a lopsided 4-4-2/4-5-1 depending on how you looked at it. I played on left wing for the rest of the season and declared myself deeply unhappy at the change of formation and that I would be leaving as soon as possible. We won the domestic double.

With only one club title eluding me, I set off for Genoa, ready to beat the tough Inter for the Copa, in a 3-4-3, which was the whole reason I picked them. Had a blast for a while, playing as an MC, a wingback, or across the frontline, but again the manager switched formations to a 3-5-2, and I was stucked in the attacking tandem for the season. We won the Copa, but only got to UEFA in the league. The squad was crap and I carried them every match, so I was glad to have won the Copa at first try.

Having won everything there is to be won I decided to return to Chelsea and see out my career, but they didn't offer me a contract, so I decided to force their hand and signed with City. Played as a seocnd striker in a 4-4-2, won the domestic double and the UEFA cup, and Chelsea offered me a spot back home.

Spent the lst 3 seasons there, winning everything again and leading the way in a now 4-2-3-1, playing in the AMC role and doing everything. It's become way too easy, although getting the captaincy was nice.

Stopped here because I reached the 1000 club goals milestone, with another 100 or so for the NT, where Israel have managed to participate in every tournament, win the Euro once, the World Cup twice, and generally be competitive. Still one more international tournament left in the tank, so I might suck it up and finish the career, but I don't want to move clubs, I want to finish my career at Chelsea, or at most play a final year with Birmingham, so it's very boring now.

I lose interest in most games nowadays because I don't have the time to pay attention to the storylines or long strategies, which is why PES is great, just stick it in, play a few matches and shut it off.

Also bought Fifa Street 2 for the same purposes, completed the 1st challenges, won the international tournies with England (chose them for the chance to play with Terry and Lamps), and maxed out my player on-route to finishing the Captain challenges. It's a fun game but the AI is irritatingly predictable but not easy. You know that you will be able to make a a first dribble but only get a 20% shot at succeeding with a 2nd and it's just silly sometimes. Still, decent. Currently got Buffon, Totti, Kaka, Robinho, Cafu, Schweini and maybe someone else, can't remember. Just gonna get my favorite players (which is why I hate that I can't get Cech, Lamps, Terry, Cole, Duff or Cole in my squad) and max them out.

EDIT: HA! That was ******* long! Didn't even notice my career was that long. Makes sense though, been playing that save for a year now.

You're not the only one.

Most of my 2K playing friends see it as standard..but when you've been playing with EA's 'cardboard cutout' looking crowd it really sticks out at you..

I once managed to finish FIFA Street 2..my team had Ronaldinho and Henry at the conclusion I think..can't remember who the keepers was..wonder what next year's edition will be like.

So apparently if you save it before you're given offers, you can get a totally different type of offers if you load the game again.

This time I got offers from several Russian teams, Evian FC, Bohemians from Ireland and the offer I took, which was Torino FC in the Serie A.

They have a slew of right footed wingers and an 88 rated defender named Angelo Ogbonna, which is the highest I've had to play with. The problem is that the wages are strapped onto three top players, so I had to get creative to bolster the striker position and GK.

Torino has a lot of older players and little to no younger players. First order of business was to hire two scouts. One is local, so had him look for talent in Italy. The other is Nigerian, so decided to try out Ghana.

Since I seem to me short on AMC in this team and didn't have the funds to purchase one, I'm gonna attempt to take advantage of the surplus in wingers and play an advanced 4-2-2 formation. I guess if it doesn't work out, I'll have to improvise until I buy an adequate AMC and go to my standard 4-2-3-1 formation. Should be interesting.

Nice write up Mandieta6. How did you stay patient enough to play so many seasons? The most I've done is 3 as a quick winger (ended up at Sevilla with Pirlo). I can't play too many matches in a row because I hate relying on my team to defend and get the ball back, its boring since you can't control it and you just have to wait. How many minutes did you set your games at and what was your difficulty level?

Wow Az. I had a PES09 Be a Legend that was really fun too. Started off in Holland I think for Az Alkmaar or Heerenveen or some club like that, and was really frustrated by my lack of early playing time, but eventually I got more time on the pitch. Obviously I was a striker. I played no defense, and when we had the ball I would drift all over the place calling for the ball and generally not helping the team flow. Didn't matter, because no matter where I was I would get the ball, dribble the entire team and then score. Well, at the beginning I missed a hell of a lot of open chances, but the goals eventually came. Moved to Newcastle in January, and had to earn playing time again. Stayed there for 18 months and won the league in my first full year. Then moved to Real Madrid where I set about winning everything. Everything except the Spanish Cup that is, because I was rested and we lost. Scored over 100 goals in a season in all competitions. Second year with Madrid I scored over 100 goals in the league, and figured it was time to quit so I "retired" at the age of like 24. My guy looked EXACTLY like me, it was fantastic.
