well, only other thing I can add was the first car I ever drove

That was 13 years ago. I really liked it because it was fuel efficient and I didn't worry too much about it if I was driving a bit crazy on the roads. Specially if someone felt like tailgating me or cutting me off. I do sometimes miss it.

Funny thing is, the truck I drive now, I only wash it every other month, whereas this car, I would wash it every week. How things change.

Washing cars? Pfft, I would always let nature take care of that. I never once washed either of the cars I've owned. Sometimes my mom would get annoyed at how dirty my car was and she would take it to get it washed. (H)

Ahh, simpler times...

I hope you realize that is the most important part.

If dirt gets into your shoes, you don't have such a good feel for the pedals.

The most important part of a car is the pedals*.

* By the way, I know that people just call them gas, clutch or brake. But strictly speaking, they should be referred to as pedals. That is the correct terminology, which is why I have used it here.

Sadly, here in L.A. if you drive a dirty truck, it puts you on the eyes of cops more so than driving a clean one. Apparently because since it's the common car for construction workers, and the one thing most construction workers do after a long day is drink. So they assume the same for all truck drivers whose truck is dirty.

Elephants are one of the three mammals that undergo menopause – the other two being humpback whales and human females.

that sucks, here all you have to be is black and innocent, i could roll right by them 2 guns out the window and a blunt burning between my lips doing double the speed limit and get a salute from the cop.

sucks to be black around here.

I wouldn't even recommend it, specially with gas prices. At best, it only gives me 12mils /Gallon whereas a small car can give you up to 30 miles per gallon. I'm looking to trading it for a much smaller car.

30MPG! I'm averaging 60MPG as the moment!

OK, I drive a 1.9TDI Golf Estate and don't push it, but with DERV costing around £1.40 a litre (£6.35 a gallon) it works out around 11pence per mile.

I was expecting a really awesome chopper for my travel to Italy. Turns out we're getting some crappy scooters :(

I was hoping you'd get a semi-submarine if you catch my drift.

In spite I like marine life, I don't think a submarine would be appropriate to know Italy. #waitaminute

What are you doing digging up all these old posts/threads from time to time? For nostalgic moments?

To be fair i have no recollection of mine, either.

ok hold onto your horses;

97 infiniti I30
99 clio rte 1.6 a/t
96 Lada Niva 1.7 (it's a beast! a great sample of a car that can be crap and brilliant, all at the same time)
2008 Vw Phaeton 3.0 Tdi
2010 E90 320d full option
2011 Golf 1.6 tdi dsg, 1.6 tdi manual and 1.4 tsi 122hp (yeah bought all at the same time, for the business)
2009 Porsche Carrera 911 3.6
2012 Porsche Cayman 2.7
2004 Mercedes Benz G-Klasse 400 cdi
and 2014 Passat 1.6tdi Variant :))

except the infiniti, lada, golf and the current passat; I don't own any of them anymore.

because I have a family..

infiniti is mostly for my father, lada is there because I and my father are coursing occasionally, golf is for wife and passat (yeah I know it's dull but we're on the verge of having a baby) is for me..

I've bought porsche's and G400 cdi because I thought it'd be awesome to live with a porsche, and I like the way G-Klasse looks.. but it's really not easy to live with the porsche, it blows your mind with the speed but it's vastly uncomfortable, and G-Wagen is a thirsty bastard..
